ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Epoxy Flooring is a conductive flooring system designed to safely dissipate static electricity, protecting sensitive electronic components and preventing sparks in flammable environments. It provides a controlled path for static charges to flow to ground, rather than building up on people or equipment.
This is achieved by incorporating conductive elements like carbon or metal fibers/grids within the epoxy layers. The floor's electrical resistance is carefully engineered to be within a specific range (typically 10^5 to 10^9 ohms) as per ANSI/ESD S20.20 or similar standards.
We install ESD flooring systems for electronics manufacturing, server rooms, and other ESD-protected areas (EPAs), ensuring proper grounding and integration with other ESD control measures like wrist straps and conductive footwear.
